About Larry Schlichting

[button link=”https://nwblackhawkregion.org/golf/” size=”lg” color=”#5e96d2″ text=”grey”]Sponsorship Info[/button][/quote] Larry was former Executive Director Christine Schlichting’s husband of 32 years who died just after reaching the summit of Quandary Mountain in Colorado in June of 2005. He was a dedicated firefighter, having retired in December of 2004 after 25 years with the Janesville Fire Department.
Larry was a faithful supporter of causes Christine believed in and worked for. He was a sensitive and caring man who would readily assist NHS’ affordable housing programs if he were here. The Golf Outing honors Larry’s memory and is a way to thank and remember all the kindness and compassion he showed to others.
